TERMS		DEFINITIONS

Phragmoplast	Membranous vesicles are collected in the centre. Membrane structure phragtnoplast is formed from vesicles.
Meiosis	The special type of cell division in which the numbers of chromosomes in daughter cells are reduced to one half, as compared to the parent cells is called meiosis.
Homologous chromosomes	The similar but not necessarily identical chromosomesarecalled ashomologous chromosomes.
Bivalent or ---------------------------- ---------------------------- tetrad	Each paired (but not fused) complex structure is called as bivalent or tetrad.
Crossing over	The exchange of segment of the non-sister chromatids of homologous chromosomes is called crossing over.
Cell cycle	The period from the time a cell is produced until it completes mitosis is called cell cycle.
