Photoperiodism The response of plant tothe relative length of light and dark period is called photoperiodism.
Short        Day

Plants (SDP)

The plants that flower when day length is less than a certain critical length are called short day plants.
Long day plants The plants that flower when day length is more than a certain critical length are called short day plants.
Inductive If a photoperiod causes flowering in a  plant,it  is

called inductive photoperiod.

Non-inductive Ii   it   doesnot  cause  flowering.  then it   is  non‑Inductive

 

Phytochromes The proteins present  in the  leaves which absorb

phytochromes.

Phytochrome red (Pr) It absorbs maximum light in the red region of the spectrum. It has wavelength of 660u Pr is the inactive form.
